Product Overview
Atadyn Solution contains loratadine, a second-generation antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms. It works by blocking histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic reactions, without causing significant drowsiness.
Indications
Atadyn Solution is used for the treatment of:
- Seasonal and Perennial Allergic Rhinitis (Hay Fever) – Relieves sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes.
- Chronic Urticaria (Hives) – Reduces itching, redness, and swelling caused by allergic skin conditions.
- Other Allergic Reactions – Helps manage mild allergic responses affecting the skin or respiratory system.
Dosage and Administration
- Adults and Children Over 12 Years: 10 mL (10 mg) once daily.
- Children Aged 2–12 Years:
- Body Weight Over 30 kg: 10 mL (10 mg) once daily.
- Body Weight Under 30 kg: 5 mL (5 mg) once daily.
- Administration:
- Measure the solution with a dosing cup or syringe.
- Can be taken with or without food.
Precautions
- Drowsiness: Loratadine is generally non-drowsy but may cause mild sedation in some individuals.
- Liver Conditions: Patients with liver disease may require a lower dose; consult a doctor before use.
- Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use only if prescribed by a healthcare professional.
