Co-Arinate Adult is a potent antimalarial medication used for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria, especially caused by Plasmodium falciparum. It is a specialized combination therapy that ensures fast parasite clearance and symptom relief.
Active Ingredients
Each tablet contains a fixed-dose combination of:
- Artesunate 200mg – A fast-acting antimalarial that kills malaria parasites in the bloodstream.
- Sulfamethoxypyrazine 500mg
- Pyrimethamine 25mg
Indications
- Treatment of acute, uncomplicated malaria
- Effective against Plasmodium falciparum, including drug-resistant strains
- For use in adults and adolescents
Directions for Use
- Usually taken as a 3-day course (one dose per tablet).
- Follow the prescribed dosage carefully—typically 1 tablet once daily for 3 days, or as directed by a healthcare provider.
- Take with food and a full glass of water or milk to reduce nausea and improve absorption.
- Complete the full course even if symptoms improve to prevent drug resistance and recurrence.
Precautions
