Co-Codamol 30/500mg Sachet is a high-strength combination analgesic designed for the short-term relief of pain that has not responded to paracetamol or ibuprofen alone. Each sachet contains two active ingredients: Codeine Phosphate (30mg) and Paracetamol (500mg). This dual-action formula works together to provide effective management for severe headaches, migraines, dental pain, and musculoskeletal discomfort.
In Nigeria, this medication is frequently used for post-surgical recovery and acute pain episodes. Because it contains a high dose of codeine, it is classified as a Prescription-Only Medicine (POM).
How to Use Co-Codamol Sachets
The sachet formulation (effervescent) is convenient for those who prefer not to swallow traditional tablets.
- Dissolve the contents of one sachet in a small glass of water.
- Drink the solution immediately.
- The standard dosage for adults and children over 12 years is one sachet every 4 to 6 hours.
- Do not exceed 4 sachets in a 24-hour period.
