Product Overview
Elanquine tablets contain levofloxacin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the fluoroquinolone class. Levofloxacin is effective against various bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for DNA replication and cell division.
Indications
Elanquine is indicated for the treatment of:

Dosage and Administration

Administration: Take the tablet orally with water, with or without food. Avoid taking it concurrently with antacids or supplements containing calcium, magnesium, or iron, as they can interfere with absorption.
Precautions

Tendonitis and Tendon Rupture: Levofloxacin has been associated with an increased risk of tendon inflammation and rupture, particularly in older adults and those on corticosteroid therapy.

Peripheral Neuropathy: Discontinue use if you experience symptoms of nerve damage, such as pain, burning, tingling, numbness, or weakness.

Central Nervous System Effects: May cause seizures, increased intracranial pressure, and tremors. Use with caution in patients with a history of CNS disorders.

QT Prolongation: Can cause prolongation of the QT interval; avoid use in patients with known QT prolongation or those on medications that can prolong the QT interval.
