EMLA Cream 5%
Effective Topical Anesthetic for Numbing and Pain Relief
EMLA Cream 5% is a powerful topical anesthetic used to numb the skin before medical procedures, reducing pain and discomfort. It contains a combination of two active ingredients, Lidocaine and Prilocaine, which work together to block nerve signals in the skin, providing effective local anesthesia. EMLA Cream is commonly used before needle insertions, minor skin surgeries, laser treatments, and other dermatological procedures.
Active Ingredients
- Lidocaine (2.5%): A local anesthetic that blocks nerve signals, preventing pain sensations in the area of application.
- Prilocaine (2.5%): Another local anesthetic that complements Lidocaine, enhancing the numbing effect and providing longer-lasting relief.
