What is Epanutin 100mg?
Epanutin 100mg is a brand-name antiepileptic drug (AED) containing Phenytoin Sodium. It is widely used in Nigeria for the management and control of various types of seizures, including tonic-clonic (grand mal) and partial (focal) seizures.
How Epanutin Works
Epanutin belongs to the hydantoin class of anticonvulsants. It works by stabilizing the electrical activity in the brain, helping to prevent the abnormal discharges that cause seizures. It is also used to prevent seizures during or after brain surgery or severe head injuries.
