Overview
Epiderm Triple Action Multipurpose Skin Cream is a versatile topical medication formulated to address a wide range of skin conditions. This 400g family-sized tub is designed for the treatment of inflammatory skin disorders where bacterial or fungal infections are present or likely to occur.
Triple Action Formula
Epiderm is known as a "triple action" cream because it combines three classes of active ingredients:
- Anti-inflammatory: Contains Betamethasone Dipropionate, a corticosteroid that helps reduce redness, swelling, and itching associated with skin irritation.
- Antibacterial: Includes Gentamicin Sulphate, an antibiotic effective against a variety of bacteria that can cause skin infections.
- Antifungal: Formulated with Tolnaftate and Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline to combat fungal growths such as ringworm and athlete’s foot.
Common Uses
This cream is often used for the relief of:
- Eczema and Psoriasis
- Dermatitis
- Ringworm (Tinea Corporis)
- Athlete's Foot (Tinea Pedis)
- Severe itching (Pruritus)
- Heat rash and other skin irritations
Usage and Safety
Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Important Safety Note: Because this product contains a potent steroid (Betamethasone), it should not be used as a general body moisturizer. Long-term use on large areas of the body can lead to skin thinning or systemic absorption. Consult a GoMed pharmacist if you have questions about the suitability of this product for babies or long-term use.
