Fynale is an Artemisinin-based Combination Therapy (ACT) specifically formulated to treat acute, uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum. This pack contains 24 tablets, which corresponds to the standard six-dose regimen for adults and adolescents weighing 35kg and above.
Active Ingredients
Each Fynale tablet contains a combination of two potent antimalarial agents:
- Artemether 20mg: A fast-acting artemisinin derivative that provides rapid reduction of the parasite biomass.
- Lumefantrine 120mg: A long-acting antimalarial that eliminates any remaining parasites to prevent a recurrence of the infection.
Indications and Usage
Fynale is used for the treatment of acute, uncomplicated malaria in adults and children weighing 5kg and above. It is not intended for the prevention of malaria or for the treatment of severe or complicated malaria.
How to take Fynale Tablets
For optimal effectiveness, Fynale should be taken with fatty food or milk. This is because fatty substances significantly increase the absorption of Lumefantrine. If you are unable to tolerate food, please contact a GoMed pharmacist or your healthcare provider for advice.
