MARCFIX 325mg Tablets are a combination antibiotic formulation containing cefixime and clavulanic acid. This dual-action medicine is designed to fight susceptible bacterial infections by combining the bactericidal effects of a third-generation cephalosporin with the resistance-blocking action of a beta-lactamase inhibitor, making it effective against a wider range of pathogens.
Active Ingredients
- Cefixime BP 200mg – a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic
- Clavulanic Acid BP 125mg – a beta-lactamase inhibitor
Indications
- Respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis)
- Uncomplicated urinary tract infections
- Otitis media (middle ear infection)
- Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis
- Uncomplicated gonorrhoea (where appropriate)
