What is Metolar Injection?
Metolar Injection contains Metoprolol Tartrate (1 mg/mL), a selective beta-1 blocker used primarily in clinical settings. It is designed for intravenous administration to manage acute heart conditions such as myocardial infarction (heart attack) and certain types of cardiac arrhythmias.
How Metolar Works
Metoprolol works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals in your body, such as adrenaline, on the heart and blood vessels. This effect lowers the heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart, making it an essential treatment during hypertensive emergencies and heart attacks.
