P-Test Pregnancy Test Strip
P-Test is a rapid, one-step lateral flow immunoassay used for the qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine. It is one of Nigeria's most trusted and affordable "PT strips" for early pregnancy detection at home. Manufactured by Nantong Egens Biotechnology and registered with NAFDAC (Reg. No. 03-2479), P-Test offers laboratory-level accuracy in a simple dipstick format.
How P-Test Works
The P-Test strip identifies the hCG hormone, which is produced by the placenta shortly after an embryo attaches to the uterine lining. With an accuracy claim of over 99.9%, it can detect pregnancy as early as two weeks after conception (or once you notice a missed period).
Key Features
- High Sensitivity: Detects hCG levels from 10 mIU/mL to 25 mIU/mL.
- Fast Results: Confirm your status within 1 to 5 minutes.
- NAFDAC Approved: Quality assured for the Nigerian market (Reg No. 03-2479).
- Affordable Price: Reliable testing without the high cost of midstream kits.
How to Use P-Test Strip (Instructions)
To get the most accurate result from your dipstick test, follow these steps:
- Collect Urine: Collect a fresh urine sample in a clean, dry container. For early detection, first-morning urine is highly recommended.
- Prepare Strip: Remove the P-Test strip from its foil pouch.
- Dip: Immerse the strip into the urine with the arrow pointing downwards. Important: Do not immerse past the "MAX" line.
- Wait: Take the strip out after 10 seconds and lay it flat on a clean surface.
- Read Result: Check for colored bands between 1 and 5 minutes. Do not interpret results after 10 minutes.
Interpreting Your P-Test Result
- Positive (Two Lines): If two distinct colored lines appear (one in Control region 'C' and one in Test region 'T'), you are likely pregnant.
- Negative (One Line): If only one colored line appears in the Control region (C), the test is negative.
- Invalid: If no lines appear or only the 'T' line appears, the test did not work. You should repeat it with a new strip.
