How It Works
The active ingredient in Panadol Advance is paracetamol, which works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins in the brain that cause pain and fever. The Optizorb technology helps break down the tablet in the stomach more quickly, allowing the medication to be absorbed into the bloodstream faster, providing quicker pain relief.
Dosage
- Adults and children aged 16 years and over: 1-2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 8 tablets in 24 hours.
- Children aged 10-15 years: 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours.
- Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours and do not exceed the recommended dose. Not suitable for children under 10 years.
Side Effects
While Panadol Advance is generally well-tolerated, possible side effects include:
- Allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, and swelling
- Breathing problems, especially in individuals with previous issues with other painkillers
- Nausea and vomiting
- Liver damage in cases of overdose

Precautions
