What is Progynon Depot?
Progynon Depot (Estradiol Valerate) is a long-acting estrogen injection used for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and to treat conditions caused by estrogen deficiency. In Nigeria, it is also frequently found or listed as Projenon Depot. Each 1ml ampoule contains 10mg of Estradiol Valerate in an oil-based solution, designed for gradual release into the body.
Uses of Progynon Depot Injection
This medication is primarily prescribed to manage moderate to severe symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. It is also used to treat hypoestrogenism (low estrogen levels) resulting from ovarian failure or other hormonal imbalances. How it Works
As a depot injection, Progynon Depot is administered deep into the muscle (intramuscularly).
