Selsun Abbott Suspension Anti-Dandruff Shampoo (120ml)
Selsun Abbott Suspension is a high-strength medicated shampoo formulated with 2.5% Selenium Sulfide (USP). Unlike regular cosmetic anti-dandruff shampoos, this therapeutic suspension is designed to treat moderate-to-severe scalp conditions and fungal skin infections.
Manufactured by Abbott Healthcare, this formula provides effective relief from persistent dandruff and itchy scalp by slowing the growth of the yeast that causes these issues and reducing the rate of skin cell turnover.
Key Benefits
- Therapeutic Strength: Contains 2.5% Selenium Sulfide, a potent antifungal and antiseborrheic agent.
- Relieves Itching & Scaling: Effectively controls the redness, itching, and flaking associated with dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis.
- Versatile Treatment: Can also be used to treat tinea versicolor, a common fungal infection that causes discolored patches on the skin.
- Trusted Brand: Produced by Abbott Healthcare, ensuring high pharmaceutical standards.
How to Use Selsun Abbott Suspension
For best results, follow these application guidelines:
- For Dandruff and Seborrheic Dermatitis: Shake well before use. Apply to wet hair and scalp. Massage into a lather and leave on for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat the application and rinse again. Use twice weekly for the first 2 weeks, then reduce frequency as directed by a healthcare professional.
- For Tinea Versicolor: Apply to the affected skin areas and lather with a small amount of water. Leave the medication on your skin for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat daily for 7 days or as recommended.
