Each tablet contains 4mg of Chlorpheniramine Maleate, an antihistamine that functions by blocking the action of histamine, a chemical released during allergic reactions. Administration
Chlorphenamine tablets can be taken with or without food, swallowed with water, milk, or juice. The 4mg tablets can be halved for children and individuals requiring lower doses. The recommended dosage for adults and children over 12 years is 4 mg (1 tablet or 10 ml liquid medicine) every 4-6 hours. Children aged 6-11 years are advised to take 2 mg.
Precaution
Chlorphenamine may induce dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Common side effects encompass nausea, drowsiness, dizziness, difficulty concentrating, dry mouth, and headaches.
