PEPTOBISMOL 118/100ML is used to bring relief to an upset stomach and diarrhea caused by overindulgence in food and drink. It addresses symptoms such as heartburn, indigestion, nausea, gas, belching, and fullness. The active ingredient, Bismuth Subsalicylate, works by protecting the stomach and the lower part of the food pipe from excess stomach acid. Additionally, it serves as a mild antacid, reducing excessive stomach acid and easing discomfort.
Precaution and Side Effects:
Before using this medicine, consult a doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not administer to a child under 12 years old without medical advice. PEPTOBISMOL may contain phenylalanine, which can be harmful to individuals with phenylketonuria (PKU). Some side effects, such as black tongue or stool, usually subside after discontinuing the medicine, but if persistent, consult a doctor. In rare cases, serious allergic reactions may occur.
Dosage:
Take 1 dose of Pepto Bismol every 30 minutes to an hour until relief is felt. Do not exceed 8 doses in a 24-hour period.
