Sendinor 2 Emergency Contraceptive Pill
Sendinor 2 is a reliable emergency contraceptive pill (ECP), widely used in Nigeria as a "morning-after pill." It contains Levonorgestrel, a synthetic hormone that helps prevent unintended pregnancy after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure (such as a broken condom or missed birth control dose).
How Sendinor 2 Works
The active ingredient in Sendinor 2, Levonorgestrel, primarily works by delaying or inhibiting ovulation (the release of an egg). It may also prevent fertilization of an egg by sperm. It is important to note that Sendinor 2 is not an abortion pill and will not work if you are already pregnant.
Dosage and Administration
For maximum effectiveness, Sendinor 2 should be taken as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours, and no later than 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected sex.
The pack contains two tablets:
- Take the first tablet (0.75 mg) immediately.
- Take the second tablet (0.75 mg) 12 hours after the first dose.
If you vomit within two hours of taking a tablet, you should consult a pharmacist or doctor about taking a replacement dose.
