Indications

Artemether Injection is indicated for:

Severe Malaria: Treatment of severe malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, especially in regions with reported resistance to chloroquine.
Uncomplicated Malaria: Initial treatment of uncomplicated malaria when oral administration is not feasible due to persistent vomiting.

- Transition to oral artemisinin-based combination therapy (ACT) is recommended as soon as the patient can tolerate oral medication.
Preparation: Use a 1 mL syringe for accurate dosing, especially in children.
