Description: EXCEDRIN EXTRA STRENGTH BY 24 temporarily relieves minor aches and pains due to: headaches, a cold, arthritis, muscular aches, toothache, premenstrual and menstrual cramps.
Excedrin Extra Strength contains three active ingredients: acetaminophen, aspirin, and caffeine. Acetaminophen: A pain reliever and a fever reducer. Aspirin: A nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces substances in the body that cause pain, fever, and inflammation. Caffeine: A central nervous system stimulant that helps increase the effectiveness of acetaminophen and aspirin.
Excedrin Extra Strength is used for the temporary relief of pain due to a variety of conditions. The combination of active ingredients effectively relieves headaches, toothaches, premenstrual and menstrual cramps, and pain and fever associated with colds and arthritis.
Before using Excedrin Extra Strength, consult with your healthcare provider, especially if you have liver disease, stomach ulcers, gout, or a history of heart disease or stroke. Possible side effects include upset stomach, heartburn, and trouble sleeping. Serious side effects are rare but may include severe dizziness, fainting, fast/irregular heartbeat, or mental/mood changes. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing.
