Active Ingredient:
Each tablet contains 500 mg amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) and 125 mg clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate).
Health Benefit:
Used for the treatment of a wide range of infections caused by bacteria, including infections of the lungs, airways, ears, urinary tract, skin, bone, joints, soft tissue, and tooth/dental infections.
Administration:
If required, tablets may be broken in half and swallowed without chewing. AUGMENTIN tablets are not recommended in children of 12 years and under. Adults and Children over 12 years: The usual recommended daily dosage is: Mild - Moderate infections: One AUGMENTIN 625 mg tablet every 12 hours.
Precaution:
Side Effects: Diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell the doctor. AUGMENTIN is contraindicated in patients with a history of serious hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., anaphylaxis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome) to amoxicillin, clavulanate, or other beta‑lactam antibacterial drugs (e.g., penicillins and cephalosporins).
