Each tablet contains 250 mg of chloroquine phosphate USP, equivalent to 150 mg chloroquine base.

Emzor Chloroquine tablet is used for:

• Malarial prophylaxis (as a suppressive)
• Managing acute attacks of malaria

Chloroquine is highly active against erythrocytic forms of P. vivax, P. malariae, and P. falciparum. It is used to prevent or treat malaria caused by mosquito bites and to treat amebiasis. Chloroquine belongs to a class of drugs known as antimalarials.
