Overview
Astymin SN Infusion is a parenteral amino acid solution designed to meet high nitrogen and protein needs, particularly in patients with nutritional deficiencies or conditions requiring increased protein synthesis. It contains a balanced blend of essential and non-essential amino acids with Xylitol as an energy source, promoting faster recovery and improved nutritional status.
Ingredients
Each milliliter contains:
- Essential Amino Acids: L-isoleucine, L-leucine, L-lysine, L-threonine, L-valine, L-tryptophan, and others.
- Non-Essential Amino Acids: Glycine, L-alanine, L-serine, L-glutamic acid, etc.
- Xylitol: An insulin-independent energy source.
- Total Amino Acids per 200 mL: 21.282 g.

Dosage and Administration

Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, diabetes, or liver conditions.
- Avoid combining with mannitol due to rapid excretion risks.
- Not recommended if there are signs of hypersensitivity or contraindicated conditions.
Side Effects
- Localized reactions such as redness, phlebitis, or thrombosis at the infusion site.
