Product Overview

Ranferon capsules are a hematinic supplement formulated to treat and prevent iron deficiency anemia and related conditions. Each capsule contains a combination of essential nutrients that support red blood cell production and overall health.

Composition

Each Ranferon capsule contains:

• Ferrous Fumarate: 305 mg (equivalent to 100 mg of elemental iron)

• Folic Acid: 0.75 mg

• Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C): 75 mg

• Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12): 5 µg

• Zinc Sulfate: 5 mg

Indications

Ranferon capsules are indicated for:

• Iron Deficiency Anemia: Treatment of anemia due to inadequate iron intake or absorption.

• Anemias of Nutritional Origin: Addressing deficiencies arising from poor diet, pregnancy, infancy, or childhood.

• Folic Acid Deficiency: Managing anemia resulting from folic acid deficiency.

• Vitamin B12 Deficiency: Supplementing vitamin B12 in cases of deficiency.

Dosage and Administration

• Adults and Adolescents: One to two capsules daily, taken in a single dose or divided doses, as directed by a physician.

• Administration: Swallow capsules whole with water. Taking them after meals may reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.

Precautions

• Allergies: Contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to any of the components.

• Iron Overload Disorders: Not recommended for patients with conditions like hemochromatosis or hemosiderosis.

• Drug Interactions: Iron may reduce the absorption of certain medications, including tetracyclines and fluoroquinolones. Consult a healthcare provider for guidance.

Side Effects

Common side effects may include:
