Remove the safety cap from the On-Call Safety Lancet. Position the lancet against the puncture site, such as the side of the fingertip. Press the lancet firmly to activate the spring-loaded mechanism and obtain the blood specimen. Dispose of the used lancet properly in a sharps container.
