Dosage
Recommended: 2000 mg as a single dose or 1000 mg in two divided doses on the same day or 250 mg three times a day for seven days.
Precaution
Before using this medication, inform your doctor or pharmacist about your medical history, especially if you have liver disease, kidney disease, certain blood disorders (low blood cell counts), or Cockayne syndrome. Avoid alcoholic beverages and products containing propylene glycol while taking this medication and for at least 3 days after finishing, as severe stomach upset/cramps, nausea, vomiting, headache, and flushing may occur.
