Secwid 500mg Tablets (Secnidazole)
Secwid is a powerful antimicrobial and antiprotozoal medication used in Nigeria to treat various bacterial and parasitic infections. It contains Secnidazole 500mg, which belongs to the nitroimidazole class of drugs, similar to metronidazole but with a much longer-lasting effect.
What is Secwid Used For?
In Nigeria, Secwid is highly effective and commonly prescribed for:
- Bacterial Vaginosis (BV): To treat abnormal vaginal discharge and odor.
- Toilet Infection: Many Nigerians use Secwid for symptoms commonly referred to as "toilet infection," which include itching and discharge caused by trichomoniasis or BV.
- Amoebiasis and Giardiasis: Effective against intestinal parasites that cause diarrhea and stomach pain.
- Trichomoniasis: A sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite.
Dosage: How to Take Secwid 4 Tablets
