Indications
Mectizan is indicated for the treatment of:
- Onchocerciasis (River Blindness): Caused by the parasite Onchocerca volvulus.
- Strongyloidiasis of the Intestinal Tract: Due to the nematode Strongyloides stercoralis.

- Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered unless it is near the time for the next dose. Do not double the dose.
Possible Side Effects
- Common: Dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, fatigue.
- Serious: Severe allergic reactions, neurological symptoms.
